Christmas Market Tour - and so we begin

All in all it was an easy travel day.  I had a very early start in San Francisco and was at the airport by 5:00 am. Jackie was at the airport in Huntsville at 5:00 as well.  I got about an hour nap from sfo to Toronto and no sleep on the overnight flight to Munich. We figure we've been awake for the better part of 32 hours.  We just had our intro meeting for the tour at 5pm and both of us are ready to go to sleep!!

It is beautiful here in Munich but cold.  We got a chance to visit a small Christmas market at the airport and then joined the group for the ride to the airport.  There were to be 40 on our tour, but 5 people cancelled due to concerns about terrorism.  Instead of a traditional thanksgiving dinner we had Nurenburg sausage and cheddar spätzle.

Here are just a few photos. More tomorrow:

This is the set up in the Int'l terminal in Toronto.  Every seat has an iPad where you can order food or search the web or just charge your devices.  Great set up!

Just a few shots of our first Christmas market.  Beautiful things, temptation abounds.
