Day 3 continued....Niagara falls, Ontario, Camada

So we survived the circuitous route the GPS took us on to get there, but we made it to the Rainbow Bridge, one of four bridges into Canada in this area, only to end up in the slowest line to get thru the border.  I think we were six cars back when we started, but it took at least 25 minutes. I could only think we just got lucky enough to have an agent who didn't trust anyone and asked a lot of questions.  I was right.  He barely looked at us, then questioned us thoroughly on where we came from and what we were planning to do. Interesting process.  Also, he squinted at the screen something fierce.  I think he would have benefited from some readers.

Anyway, we made it across,

found the visitors center and found our hotel.

This is the view from our window

Is that not amazing?  We originally planned to have a city view, but when the opportunity came up to upgrade, we decided to go for it.

We had reservations at the Skylon Tower, a revolving restaurant with 360 degree views of the falls and the surrounding areas.

Here are a few pics I took as we ate dinner....

The American falls

The Maid of the Mist heading to The Canadian Falls

And the shadow of the Skylon tower on the American Falls

Amazing place!!  We are taking a grey line tour tomorrow and a ride on the Maid of the Mist, where I hope I don't catch pneumonia from getting soaked!
