Como Italy - Barchetta Excelsior - May 22-23
Well folks it has been a crazy 48 hours of flight delays and cancellations but we finally made it to our first destination — beautiful Lake Como. Delta airlines handled everything really badly, but on the other hand, we met some wonderful people along the way and are set to have a great trip.
We were lucky that our tour director rescheduled the boat ride on Lake Como to the village of Bellagio so the group of us who finally arrived this morning could enjoy it. Crazy that we arrived after 24 hours of very little sleep, had no time to shower or change clothes, just dropped off our bags came back downstairs and walked to the lake, got on the boat and went.
The homes around the lake were beautiful, lots of great landscaping. Bellagio is a beautiful little village, touristy for sure, lots of shops. We were a little jet-lagged, so walked around a bit, then sat down for a quick bite to eat and a (semi) cold drink. Here are a few photos from the day
