Day 9 - Philadelphia to Morgantown

Odometer Reading:   58400
Starting Point:  Philadelphia, PA
Destination:  Morgantown, WV
Miles driven today:  318
States lines crossed:  4 - PA, DE, MD, WV
Quilt shops visited: 2 (Deleware and Maryland)

We left Philly at 9 this morning.  First on the list was to go to a quilt shop in Delaware.  That was a short 45 minute drive.  Folks in the shop were not very friendly, but we picked up the fabric for our memory quilt, so that was what was important.

From there we headed to Morgantown to spend the weekend with Katie.  It was about a 4.5 hour drive.  We ended up, surprise, surprise, finding a quilt shop in Maryland.  I think we were originally planning to go north thru PA so Maryland was a bonus state for us.  While there we asked about a good place to eat and ended up eating at Mo's - where we had crab cakes and fried shrimp.  Yummy!

We decided the fall foliage in Maryland was a close second the the wonderful colors we saw in Vermont, which had, by far, the best colors of all the places we've been.

Finally we made it to West Virginia

Where we are happily hanging out with Katie, Josh and Hazel.  The trip will continue on Sunday afternoon, when we do the first leg of the drive to Asheville.
