Basel, Switzerland and Mulhouse, France - December 9th

Basel this morning

These guys were singing and talking to the people on the street

At the Kuntz Museum where we had lunch

Then we were on the bus headed to Mulhouse.  Once there we had a few hours to relax then we headed to the local Christmas Market.  This was one of our favorites!  As we turned the corner into the square, this is what we saw

So much color, so many people, so very cold...but what a wonderful place.  Jackie bought a few small ornaments, but other then that we walked all over the square and stopped for a light dinner of the local pizza (goat cheese, ham and other cheese), Jackie got some of the Vin Chaud, similar to the Gluewein in Germany, but this was far superior to anything we've tried before.  It was the right blend of wine and spices.  Delicious.  We ended our meal with our favorite, crepe with Nutella!  Yum!

The local fabric company makes a Christmas fabric every year.  Thus building is draped with this year's pattern

Beautiful place and a somewhat restful day.  Tomorrow we have a tour of the fabric museum, then we are on our own for the rest of the day.  Monday we head to Zurich and Tuesday get our flights home.
