Hungary - a few last photos

Hungary is a beautiful country and the people are very friendly. Many people speak enough english that we could make ourselves understood. The guides have told us that Hungarian and Slovkian languages are among the most difficult to learn - I definitely have an easier time with the german, but even that is no more than good morning, good evening, please and thank you. I am glad I have that much at least.

The crowning of King Stephen, the first Hungarian King

The dome of the basilica - yes, those are people standing up there.

After we toured the cathedral, we had lunch in a restaurant underneath Cathedral hill. We all chose from the Hungarian menu. It was a delightful mean with hungarian goulash, fresh baked bread and homemade butter with sea salt. Completely and totally yummy. From there we walked the mile or so to the ship.

Tomorrow we will be in Vienna. We have a bus tour in the morning, which will be a great way to get oriented to the city and then a concert with snacks and wine in the evening.

It has been such a wonderful trip!! I am so glad it doesn't end with the end of the tour on Sunday.
